DanceConnect is a pro class initiative developed by Coalesce Dance Theatre in partnership with The University of Salford.

DanceConnect aims to provide Manchester-based, professional dance artists with an affordable space to train, share and connect. These artist led sessions focus on delivering up to date, relevant technical training, alongside facilitating a creative space for people to meet and play.

 

Sessions are delivered by Coalesce Co-Artistic Directors Fern Wareham and Rachel Maffei. Their collective practice focuses on a floor based contemporary style, with a movement quality that equally combines strength and fluidity.

DanceConnect has previously seen Guest Artist teachers from across the UK deliver sessions, including​ Gemma Nixon, Company Chameleon, Josh Hawkins, James Wilton, Jamaal Burkmar and Gracefool Collective.

Attendees can book onto a singular class, although block bookings are available and come with a 10% discount. Classes booked in block must be attended consecutively, beginning the Tuesday immediately after booking.
